weather has been rather good the past weeks. it was super duper sunny last weekend so we thought it would be nice to go Horseshoe Bay and try our luck on fishing! =) we started fishing at bout 1pm and returned our boat at 7pm so we had a good 6hrs of fun at the open water. i’ve been going fishing with my dad since i was a kid so i was considered the most experienced fisher-babe on board! i told the crew to park our boat near the shoreline cuz water’s not as deep and it’s easier for our baits to reach the bottom, hence the term bottom-fishing. and true enough, we really caught a fish!! just when we were gonna grab our cameras and pose with the palm-sized fish, it actually unhooked itself and jumped right back into the sea… we were all like ‘wtf’ and decided to try fishing in some other areas since the fish that got free is most likely gonna warn the whole school bac there.

and after that whole 6hrs of eating, complaining, dropping the reel into the sea, all we caught was 2 starfish (all by me!) and seaweed -_- the sun was out no doubt, and i was nearly toasted to death.

you cant really see clearly from the pics but my arms were really red and it hurts when i touched it!

we also went Stanley Park to bike last week! it was such a healthy outing we should definitely do more! here are some pretty pics taken with Kev’s big and professional camera.

the pictures are pretty arent they? anyways, that’s the last time i’ve seen my Pink Dior shades! sigh, im only left with the nice empty case. i thought ive left it when we were dining at Ebisu but i called them up and they didnt find any sunglasses. im in deep shit cuz that was a gift from ma J-boy and he’s been complaining that i dont treasure the things he bought for me.. i mean it’s gotta be somewhere in the house rite?
but come to think of it, there’s an excuse for me to get a new shades then! yay!

this is what i buy (without fail) every single week. you have no idea how much ive spent on these magazines.
i can actually fill up an entire storage container from Ikea with these. i really need to cut down on my spending since it costs me about 15cad for 3magazines. so i’ll spend around 70bux a month on tabloids alone. (excluding Elle, Cosmopolitan, etc)

 

It’s always nice to have something to read when you’re on the bus or skytrain or simply waiting for friends.. so i guess i’ll stick to one magazine per week instead. =P

anyways, it’s Mother’s Day today.. wait.. actually Mother’s Day’s just over. Didnt really get my mom(s) anything in particular so i sent them both an E-card! how convenient! haha..
so to celebrate Mother’s Day, they were showing this documentary on National Geographic Channel called “In the Womb”. i was tearing my way the entire time. i was feeling really emotional somehow..
anyhoww, u guys have gotta watch that, treat it as Bio101 or something! hah..

since i dont update my xanga on a daily basis, this is gonna be one heavy post.

the trip to Whistler was super tiring but fun! even tho i fell like ‘n’ number of times, with jared witnessing every single fall, it was soooo worth it! im quite a fast learner i must say! after this trip, im gonna shop for my own snowboard and the whole gear. and hopefully i’ll turn pro end of this year! hoho.
Whistler did get my neck my back tho! i was aching everywhere the next day.. especially my butt since i always land on it -_-. anyways, here are some pics from the trip. ive uploaded most of them on facebook so im just gonna post the highlights here.

just couple weeks ago, my baby dog was suffering from a minor ear infection. so i brought her to the vet and she had to go through this ear cleaning process which will suck out the mites. she was lightly sedated cuz the doctor had a hard time keeping her still and she wont stop snapping at him. i took a video of my pup before they microchipped and cleaned her ear.

and guess how much the whole thing cost me? it’s a whopping 400 bucks! which kinda reminds me to buy pet insurance before she turns one. so pleaseeee pleaseeeee remember to get insurance for ur pet!!

we caught Iron Man last fri.. we actually had to queue for an hour before getting in, but it’s all good since we did manage to get nice seats. the movie was pretty good, but i still prefer Transformers. and i was kinda expecting a little more actions from it. so i guess i’ll give it a 7.5/10? see thats the reason why you shouldnt get ur hopes high before watching a movie.
we also watched Harold & Kumar Escape to Guantanamo Bay! omg it’s SUPERRR hilarious.. it’s sooooo gooooood! i think it’s actually funnier than the first one! so go watch it for a good laugh =) i loveeee the movie so much! i couldnt stop laughing the entire time. i hope there’ll be a part III!!

yes.. it friggin snowed last night. it’s already mid april and God’s doing this to us.
i guess it’s his idea of making everyone stay home to study for their finals haha.

i’m trigger happy right now firstly cuz it’s a friday night. and i’ve just checked the weather forecast and it’s gonna be sunny tomorrow! highest of 17deg =) it’s really about time we get some sunshine over here in raincouver. hopefully it’ll get warmer and warmer over the next couple of weeks cuz i’ve got lotsa stuff planned out for summer. and geee.. i have YET to use my barbeque pitt! i shipped it all the way from hong kong last oct and it’s been kept in the box for half a year since.
anyhowww, the last reason to my superdupercalifragilistichappiness is because i’m going on a date tonight! who says married couples dont date anymore? well obviously my date this evening will be J boy himself.. we decided to leave our friday nights free for a quiet evening to ourselves. sweeeet, totally

i actually have more stuff to say but i prolly should get going. u know how us girls need like an hour to get ready? haha.. i wanna look my best tonight =)

WINNER WINNER, CHICKEN DINNER!

we finally got our scene card and we decided to watch the movie 21 last night starring Jim Sturgess, Kate Bosworth, Laurence Fishburne.. and i really lurved it! for one my Jimmy’s sooo soo charming, and Kate Bosworth’s sucha gorgeous darling, or in J’s words, “she’s very fuckable.. oh, i mean lovable”.
and secondly, we’re both a blackjack fan. =)

overall i give the movie a 8.5/10. it doesnt deserve a 9 or a perfect score partly cuz it’s supposed to be “based on a true story”.. but they changed the main character from a pure chinese to a gwai-zai. not that im complaining or anything since Jim Sturgess’ such an eye candy. (good pick director!) but arent we chinese the ones who are good with numbers? we taught the whites what bargaining is all about.. we dominate the statistics/engineer/math classes in college!!

anyhowww, on another totally random note, someone FINALLY ”adhere to my advise” and cut his toe nails after 6-12months?!?! geeeez.. and i have to promise him that i’ll keep his toenails in a proper place before he agreed on cutting them -_- anyways, here’s a picture of them lying neatly on the table.. 

i know it’s totally disgusting but im posting it up here just in case i lost them “precious” nails. or years from now, i can show it to my kids and let them know what ‘great things’ their father had done -_-

funny thing, just when i thought i was gonna stop blogging.. xanga sent me an email titled “maglo, Xanga misses you!” And after MANY failed attempts of logging in (cuz ive totally forgot my password), here i am, updating my xanga for people who still remember this site or for those ended up in this pinkzone randomly. 

so what’s been up for the past months? we’ve bought a pup 4months back. she’s a jackrussell x chihuahua and is so so adorable! i can never get mad or angry at her. she has those guilty looking eyes + that innocent look, that makes ur heart melt and goes “aaww come here baby”. She’s also experiencing her first menstrual cycle now actually. haha. i didnt know dogs will get PMS like us girlies! she was sooo moody the first couple of days- lost her appetite (for proper meals and snacks). slept most of the day.
and the siblings cut out underwears and put pads on it just for the dog. how sweeeet =) every now and then we’ll have to change her ‘pad’ just like how we females do it. not gonna go into detail on that, no worries haha.

enough with the dog, moving on to where i am presently.. for those keeping track, yup, im no longer serving Cathay Pacific  it was definitely a good run and ive had my fun and all. im gonna miss my days working for cx but i know im giving it up for a good reason. quoting the famous William Hung “i have no regrets at all”.

weather in vancouver now is totally insane. we had snow, rain, sun all in one day! like w-t-f?! the weather pissed me off so much cuz ive got my closet ready for summer already! ive stocked in more brightful looking tees and shades. complete with oh-so-gorgeous dresses =) speaking of dresses, im in sucha bad bad shape now. i really have to get it going and get my summer bod back! (at least before the wedding dinner)
anyone know of any fast effective, easy exercise that will tone abs in weeks or even better, days. please please pleeeeaaase tell meeeee! meanwhile, i guess i’ll just have to cut back on my diet. argh. i love food.

bought a board game (RISK) for bernie’s birthday. still waiting for him to invite us over for the game. i heard it’s actually pretty good. we actually saw this other new monopoly edition which uses credit cards instead of cash. so u get to buy lands with ur cards like how u do it in the real world. i wanna get it but obviously someone thinks it’s a waste of time and money. -_- and he knows it’s just one of those moments where i have to buy every single thing. i need some self control, eh.. i mean ALOT of self control and read up more on money management.
